We could not fail to start the list of the most beautiful Apple Arcade games without mentioning first Fantasian: a role-playing game (JRPG) of other times, where wonder and magic mix together, giving fans of the genre an unforgettable experience. Fantasian bears the prestigious signature of Hironobu Sakaguchi e Nobuo Uematsuthe same ones who had helped to give birth to the legendary Final Fantasy VII.

The protagonist is Leo, the hero called to defeat a group of gods intent on suffocating humanity forever through a dark entity called mechteria.

7. Threes!+ (puzzle game)

It was the year 2014 when the independent team Sirvo LLC launched on the market Threes!, a puzzle game intended to rewrite the history of the genre. Eight years later it is more current than ever, so much so that it continues to be one of the flagship titles of the Apple Arcade catalog.

Immediate understanding of the dynamics of the game, in a crescendo of difficulty that pushes each player to want to continue his playful path. All this in a grid of 4 × 4 squares, where at the beginning only 9 tiles appear. An exceptional puzzle game, and its golden longevity is here to prove it.

It doesn’t make much sense to assign a specific genre to the game Assemble with Care, because it falls within that narrow circle of titles that have uniqueness in common. If we really have to label it, the genre with which it shows more assonance is the puzzle. We repeat, however, that it is a stretch, beautiful and good.

At the center of the scene is Maria: her task is to repair the objects that the inhabitants of Bellariva bring her. As the game progresses, it is actually revealed that the protagonist of the tale is also busy adjusting the relationships of her clients, within a delicate and pleasant narrative.

9. Card of Darkness (card game)

Again speaking of a card game sounds reductive. Card of Darkness bears the signature of American director and animator Pendleton Ward, the author of the famous television series Adventure Time. The title remains suspended between role play, puzzle game and puzzle game, hopping here and there in an ever-changing 4 × 4 grid.

The more Assemble with Care is simple and limited in time, the more difficult and infinite Card of Darkness is. All together makes Pendleton Ward’s video game one of the most interesting, and at the same time fascinating, Apple Arcade titles.

10. Crossy Road Castle (platform)

Unanimously considered one of the best Apple Arcade games, if not the best ever. Crossy Road Castle is the spiritual heir of the exceptional Crossy Road, as well as the confirmation of the absolute talent of the Australian independent developer Hipster Whale.

Its launch dates back to 2020 and, unlike its predecessor, it can be considered to all intents and purposes a platformer. The narrative is set in a castle, where each room represents a mini level. The aim is to go to the next room through the exit door, but unfortunately (or fortunately) it is not that easy, to put it mildly.
