Two weeks ago, AMD submitted an appropriate request to reserve an interesting trademark. This one was on the site there for many days, but only now someone managed to dig it out. However, should we be interested in the AMD Radeon Vega II mark at all from the perspective of an ordinary consumer?
Well, AMD is unfortunately not keen on revealing its plans for graphics cards, so be prepared for a fair amount of speculation. At the moment, we only know that the company is preparing two series of GPUs – Vega 20 for the professional market and Navi for ordinary mortals. We already know quite a lot about both the former and the latter, which, of course, does not free us from misunderstandings. All because of the Vega II logo that has just been revealed, which presents the former, but with the addition of two “dashes on the right wing”. This, of course, is not as interesting as the fact that even this first variant adorned the RX, Instinct and Pro series of its time.
It boils down to the fact that the just revealed trademark is no confirmation of the consumer series with Vega 20 cores. If you blindly believe both rumors and official information, Vega II will only come to boxes with Radeon Instinct cards, which are to debut soon . However, we still haven’t learned the release date.
