Windows white screen, how to fix

1. Force restart the device

An application or software that has suddenly stopped working can cause a WSOD. To fix white screen problems on your PC, restart your device. Here’s how to do it. Long press the power button on your computer to turn it off. Wait about 10 seconds and press the same power button to restart it. For laptops, you can unplug and plug the power cord back in. You can then restart your computer and check if the system boots correctly.

2. Update the graphics drivers

Most of the time, the white screen problem on your PC occurs due to a problem with the display drivers. If there is an outdated or incompatible graphics driver, the chances of facing a white screen are prevalent. Follow these steps for update the drivers of the video card.

1. Right-click the Windows icon and tap Device Manager from the list.
2. Locate the Display Adapters option and expand the list.

5. Update Windows
