Facebook location history with map of all movements

We were left that on Google Maps it is possible to see all the places we have been in a history recorded silently, but constantly.
As I explained some time ago, Google records all the places we go from the smartphone and allows you to manage the history of locations or disable it if you prefer.

Well, while for Google Maps it is now well known, not everyone knows that too also Facebook does the same thing and it keeps track of all the movements of people who have the Facebook app installed in the phone (i.e. practically anyone).
The tracking of Facebook positions, which is used to take advantage of functions such as that of nearby friends or that to quickly share the position in Facebook states, is visible in a special online page, visible only to us and not to other people, with all the movements marked on the map.

Who uses Facebook on mobileeven if he had never activated this function before (which is on by default) he will then be able to review all the movements made in the past days and weeks, place by placewith incredible precision that is almost scary.
Logging location history on Facebook is something few people know, which might really surprise you.

The page to go to is at https://www.facebook.com/location_history/view/whose access is protected by a password, which must be re-entered.
You will then see thelist of all the places we have been today, yesterday and in the past dayswith the time we were there, with the map on the right that highlights the precise points in which we passed and stopped.
On the page, you can press the button with three dots next to each day to delete the history of that day only.
Instead, you can press the key with three dots at the top right to find the option that deletes all history.

How do I turn off location history in Facebook?
To disable the recording of all the places we go to, you need to open the Facebook app on your smartphone, go to Settings and privacy> Settings> Location and turn off the position history switch.
Even better, you can uninstall the Facebook app and instead use the site which also keeps your phone faster and less overloaded, without giving up all the features.

Location history in Facebook it is also visible from the Facebook activity log by pressing the relevant button on our profile.
From the activity log, click Other (under Photos Like comments) in the left column and then on “position history“.
This information is only visible to us (and to anyone who logs into our account) and can be deleted by pressing the prohibition button next to each detection.
