How to fix Google Chrome white screen error on startup
Google Chrome is the most widely used web browser. It is the favorite option of many users for its interface. Recently, users are facing white screen problem with Google Chrome when launching. It only shows a blank page and does not load any web pages. Let’s see how we can fix it.
Step 1: Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete Keys in Google Chrome.
Step 2: In the Clear browsing data window, go to Advanced tab and select All the time in the time range. Select all the check boxes below and click Delete data.
Step 3: Now try to load the web page.
Disable hardware acceleration
Step 1: Click the three points at the top and click Settings.
Step 2: Click Advance to go to advanced settings.
Step 3: In the System section, configure Usar hardware accelerateseration when available toggle the button off.
Delete GPU cache folder
Step 1: close Google Chrome.
Step 2: Press Win + R, a command type in Run AppData Local Google Chrome User Data ShaderCache and click OK.
Step 3: in the ShaderCache folder, delete all Hidden from GPU folders.
Step 4: reboot the system for the changes to take effect.
Disable the browser extension
Newly added extensions may be buggy and may result in a white screen issue. You can try disabling these extensions to fix the problem.
Step 1: Click the three points at the top, click More tools, and select Extensions in the submenu.
Step 2: Click the toggle button to disable the extension. You can click Remove if you want to remove that extension.
Reset browser settings
You can try resetting your browser settings to eliminate this problem. Also, you can clean your computer if you doubt it is due to a system problem.
Step 1: Click the three points at the top and click Settings.
Step 2: click Advanced Settings.
Step 3: go to Reset and clean section and select Restore settings to their original defaults.
Step 4: A confirmation popup will appear to reset the settings, click Reset settings.
Step 5: You can click the cleaning computer option if you doubt that the problem is due to malicious software on the computer.
Reinstale Google Chrome
You can try uninstalling and installing the Google Chrome app again to get rid of this problem.
Step 1: Press To win + I keyboard keys.
Step 2: Under Settings, select Applications.
Step 3: In the list of apps and features, find Google Chrome and click on it. Click Uninstall Button.
Step 4: Once Google Chrome is uninstalled, install it again from the Windows app store.
