How to fix Minecraft LAN not showing up issue on Windows 11 or 10

Minecraft is one of the most popular games in the world. This feature-rich online game has inspired millions of creative gamers to dive into the world of Minecraft and enjoy it. But what if you notice Minecraft LAN not showing up in Minecraft? You can no longer enjoy your favorite Minecraft with your little brother! But do not worry. There are some very easy solutions for this problem that solve it in minutes.

Solution 1 – Check if Minecraft is allowed in Firewall

Minecraft may be restricted by your own system’s firewall.

3. Now move it to set the network type to “Private“.

Solution 3 – Try the Minecraft version

Mojang sends out updates and patches for Minecraft from time to time. So check if all systems are running the same version of Minecraft.

Solution 5: Use Direct Connect

Using manual connection to the same port and IP address can solve this problem.

7. Then click “open to LAN“.

8. Tap on “Home LAN World”To start a LAN world.

9. Now, you will notice that the port has appeared on the screen. Quickly note the port.

7. Now tap on “Direct connection” while Minecraft is searching for games on your local network.

8. Just enter the IP address and port number and start the game.

This should resolve the issue.

Solution 6 – Disable/Pause Antivirus

Sometimes the third party antivirus you are using can crash Minecraft. Pause it temporarily and try to play Minecraft again.

1. First of all, tap on the arrow icon.

2. Then you can right-click on your antivirus and tap «pause protection” to pause the antivirus on your system.

Now, try to play Minecraft again. Try if this works.

Solution 7 – Remove/Disable Minecraft Mods

After that, your router may reboot once to complete the process. Connect all computers to the router and try LAN mode one more time.

Solution 9 – Reinstall Minecraft

When no other tricks worked, the only solution left is to uninstall Minecraft and reinstall the latest version.

1. Simply tap with the right mouse button windows icon

2. Then tap once on «Applications and features“.

3. Next, scroll down through the Settings window and find “Platform Minecraft“.

After uninstalling the Minecraft launcher, you just need to install the latest one again.
