How to play Legion TD 2 on Linux
Legion TD 2 is a tower defense game for Windows. It was developed and published by AutoAttack Games. Thanks to Proton, you will be able to play this game on Linux. That’s how.
Make Legion TD 2 work on Linux
Legion TD 2 isn’t a Linux game, but it’s rated so high on ProtonDB that it might as well be. To play this game on your Linux computer, you will need Steam.
Instalar Steam
Why Steam? Because Legion TD 2 is designed for Windows and to run on Linux, you must install the Steam version for Linux. To get Steam working, open a terminal window.
You can open a terminal window on the Linux desktop by pressing Ctrl + Alt + T on the keyboard. Alternatively, search for “Terminal” in the application menu and run it that way.
Ubuntu
Steam works on Ubuntu out of the box. If you are using Ubuntu, you will be able to make the application work using the following fit to install command below.
sudo apt install steam
Debian
Steam works on Debian. However, you will have to download the latest Steam DEB package directly from Valve for the app to work. To download Steam, use the following wget download command.
wget https://steamcdn-a.akamaihd.net/client/installer/steam.deb
After downloading the latest version from Steam on your Debian Linux computer, you can begin the installation. Using the dpkg command then install Steam.
sudo dpkg -i steam.deb
Once the Steam DEB package is installed, the application is configured. That said, there are problems to be fixed. You will need to correct any dependency errors that occurred during the installation process.
sudo apt-get install -f
Arch Linux
Arch Linux makes the Steam application available in the “multilib” software repository. However, not all Arch users have “multilib” enabled by default, so it should be enabled.
To enable the “multilib” software repository, open the /etc/pacman.conf
file in your favorite text editor (as root). With the file open, search for “multilib” and remove the # symbol in front and the lines directly below it.
When you’re done editing, save your edits and close the text editor. Then resynchronize Arch Linux with the official servers using the following command.
sudo pacman -Syy
Finally, install the latest version of Steam on your computer.
sudo pacman -S steam
Fedora / OpenSUSE
Steam works on both Fedora and OpenSUSE. Users can install Steam on these operating systems out of the box. That being said, this version of Steam doesn’t perform as well as the flatpak version. We suggest installing the Flatpak version from Steam instead.
Flatpak
In order for Steam to work through Flatpak, you will need to install the Flatpak runtime and configure the Flathub app store. To configure the runtime, follow our guide on the subject.
Once the Flatpak runtime is running, configure the Flathub app store. To configure the store, run the following Add remote command.
flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
With the Flathub app store set up, use the flatpak installation command to install the latest version of Steam.
flatpak install flathub com.valvesoftware.Steam
