How to Backup Your Samsung Smartwatch

Before you start, you should consider backing up your data. Smartwatches may not contain as much important information as our phones, but a backup saves you from having to. Customize your settings again. This process is relatively straightforward on any Samsung portable device. Here’s how to back up your smartwatch:

1. Open the Galaxy Portable app on your phone.
2. press in clock settings, then in the section Account and backup.
3. Make sure you are signed in to the correct Samsung account, then tap Save data.
4. Choose the settings and applications you want to back up from the list.
5. Press the button To safeguardAt the bottom of the screen. It will take a few seconds. When the process is complete, you can press FinalizedAnd perform factory reset.

Note: You can also activate the automatic backup to make sure your watch is always backed up to your Samsung account.

We must bear in mind that the images and music saved on your watch will not be backed up. Make sure you have copies elsewhere, as a factory reset will erase them along with the rest of the data on your watch.

How to factory reset your Samsung smartwatch

Factory resetting your Samsung smartwatch is pretty straightforward. There are three ways to do it: factory reset directly through your watch, using the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone, or hard reset through reset mode. This is how each method works:

Factory reset connected watch

1. From the home screen of your Tizen smartwatch, swipe left twice to reach the app drawer. On Galaxy Watch 4, swipe down to open the Quick Settings panel.
2. Touch the icon ParametersAnd scroll until you find General. Press it.
3. Scroll down to find and select option Restart. You will be asked to confirm your choice.  Press the key check mark restart parametersYour Tizen Samsung smartwatch factory or Restart on the Galaxy Watch 4.

Factory reset the Galaxy Wearable app

1. Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your smartphone. Make sure your watch is connected via Bluetooth. Press the button Connect If not, then make sure Bluetooth is turned on on your phone.
2. Once logged in, press in clock settings, then scroll down to find the section General. Press it.
3. Choose Restart from the options displayed.  Press  Restart.

Observation:If you are already in the section Account and backup, you can go to the Reset page by pressing the shortcut at the bottom of the screen.

Manual factory reset

If your smartwatch has performance issues, you may not be able to connect it to your phone or reset it through its settings. Manual hardware reset.

1. Turn off your Samsung smartwatch by pressing and holding the Home button (Power button) and the Back button. If it does not respond, press and hold the buttons until the clock is finally set, you will see the ‘Restart’ dialog box.
2. While restarting, quickly press the power button several times to bring up the screen. Select reboot mode.
3. Please select Recovery in scroll through the options with the home button.  The device will reboot again and perform a factory reset, erasing all your data.
4. If you are using the Galaxy Watch 4, another menu will appear after pressing RecoveryIn this menu, scroll down and select Wipe data / factory reset. Swipe right and select Factory data reset. Swipe right again to confirm the reset.  When you’re done, swipe right again to restart your device.
