Therefore, follow the instructions I am about to give you, in order to take advantage of the solutions that I am about to propose to you in the next paragraphs.

This free solution, available for Android (downloadable from Play Store or from alternative stores) e iOS / iPadOS (downloadable fromApp Store), allows you to change the hair color in real time, using the camera integrated in the app, but also to change your look starting from a photo, through the use of a series of filters, which change the color of your hair in a realistic way hair.

Having said that, after completing the download of the app, start it by pressing on its icon located on the home screen and / or in the drawer of your device, in order to start using it, following my instructions.

To start, in fact, select, through the menu below, one of the many colors available, having natural but also extravagant shades available: all you have to do, to change the color of your hair, in fact, is to frame your face : as if by “magic” the algorithm of Hair Color will apply a filter that will only change the color of your hair. If, on the other hand, you want to change the hair color starting from a photo, press on thelittle man icon located in the upper left corner on Android (l’camera icon are andOS / iPadOS) and then on Android, choose the image via your device’s default media gallery (on iOS / iPadOS press the button first Select From Photos): in this way, by selecting the shades of colors present within the app, you can try, even in this case, some virtual look changes.

Style my Hair (Android/iOS)

Another app to change hair color which I recommend you try is Style My Hair, a free solution developed by L’Oreal, which can be downloaded at Android (downloadable from Play Store or from alternative stores) e iOS / iPadOS (downloadable fromApp Store). The interface of Style My Hair it is characterized by a very simple design, which makes everything very intuitive, allowing you to change your hairstyle in a few taps.

That said, after completing the download of Style My Air, select your country (ex. Italy) and, on the initial screen, put the check mark next to the entry relating to the acceptance of the conditions and terms of the service and, finally, press the button The experience begins.

On the next screen, tap on the item I am a customer and, if you wish, follow the short tutorial that is shown on the screen and which illustrates the main features of the application. If not, tap on the item Skip this step.

Once this is done, press the button Try a look and then press the button I agree, to start using the 3D Makeover technology, by consenting to the treatment of your image. At this point, choose the color nuance, among those that are proposed to you and frame your face, to see the changes in real time, using the camera integrated in the app. Once you have chosen the color, also use the slider located at the top right, to increase or decrease the intensity of the color itself.

By pressing, instead, onframework icon, you can choose an image present in the default multimedia gallery of your device, to change the hair color even starting from a photo that represents you.

Hair Style Editor (Android)

If you are looking for an app for Android, Hair style editor it could be the solution for you. This free app, in fact, allows you to change your appearance in a more advanced way, virtually adding a mustache, beard, hairstyles and, of course, allows you to easily change the color of the added elements, in a few taps.

That said, after installing Hair style editor on your device (from Play Store or from alternative stores), start the app and, on its home screen, press the button Camera, to take a new photo to use for your editing work, or press the button Gallery, to use a photo that is already in your device’s default media gallery.

As soon as you have decided which “source” to import your photo from, crop it using the included editing tools and press on checkmark to save the crop.

Once this is done, on the next screen, use the buttons located at the bottom, to add a new hairstyle (Hair), but also to insert other elements in the photo, such as glasses (Glasses), headdresses (Turban) and more. After that, adjust the added elements, resizing and positioning them correctly, using your thumb and forefinger.

At this point, go back through the Android navigation menu and press on the item Color, to change the color of the added elements, by selecting one of the many colors available. When you are satisfied with your change of look, click on the button Save located at the top, in order to save the photo with the final result in the media gallery of your device.

HairStyle: Hair Colore Maker (iOS)

An app for change hair color on iPhone which you can use, if you want to virtually change the color of your hair is HairStyle: Hair Colore Maker. This free solution is, in fact, available exclusively for iPhone e iPad and allows you to easily change your hairstyle, thanks to a minimal interface and the various tools that are included.

As soon as you have finished downloading HairStyle: Hair Colore Maker on your device, through theApp Store of iOS / iPadOS, start it and tap the button Camera, if you want to take a new photo to use for the change of look, or press the button Gallery, if you want to use an image already saved on your device.

After obtaining (or choosing) the photo to use to try various colors, presses on the symbol (+) and, in the menu that appears, presses on the option Color, to change the color of your hair, using one of the many colors available (located below), dyeing them manually. When the work is finished, press on checkmark located at the top and then on the symbol of down arrow, to save the photo to your device.

Other apps to change hair color

The app to change hair color that I reported to you in the previous paragraphs are, in my humble opinion, among the best you can install on your smartphone or tablet. However, I suggest you also take a look at the other solutions that you find listed in the next lines, since they are just as interesting.

• Hair changes real color (Android) – similar to the other solutions mentioned, this app also allows you to easily change the color of your hair. Once you have taken or imported your own photo, in fact, you can choose from the numerous colors available, which range from traditional colors, such as brown, red and blond, to more extravagant colors, such as blue, purple and green.
• Perfect hairstyle (iOS / iPadOS) – also this app offers the possibility to easily change the color and the hair cut, using the tools that are included. To do this, in fact, batta take a photo, upload one, choosing from those already present in the multimedia gallery of your device, or you can experiment, using the faces of some models. However, this app is a freemium solution: some contents, in fact, are free, but to access the complete package of styles it is necessary to purchase the version Premium at a cost of 4.99 euros.
• Instagram (Android/iOS): also via the camera of Instagram you can virtually change the color of your hair. In fact, in the Effects Gallery, various filters are available that are useful for this purpose, such as the one called Colored hair. In fact, to identify them independently, just type in terms such as “hair color” The ” hair color“.
