Xbox 360 and software modification
– Learn these tips and tricks on how to use your devices in a much easier way as well as solved some of your common problems that are difficult.

It has been more than a year since the Xbox360 hit the market and during 2006 many attempts were made to modify it by hackers who had already started working on the first Xbox.

Currently it is possible to make a software modification (therefore without adding an expensive modchip) and to run backups of our games, also having the possibility to play online (without being banned by MS on their game servers) just like if we were using the original.

The method is based on the change the firmware of the DVD player of the Xbox360 and involves only little user work, now made easy by the presence of automatic tools.
The DVD players of the Xbox360 are Samsung and Hitachi and for both it is possible to change the firmware by connecting them to your PC.

I have not personally tried to make this type of softmod, not owning the Xbox360 but it is always good to know that there is the risk in the case of updates to the Dashboard (the console OS) of malfunctions.
