For speed lovers, Formula 1 represents the sport par excellence and the maximum expression of technology combined with the world of motors.

In this article I will show you all the ways to see Formula 1 live streaming for free, without paying any subscription and waiting for the grand prizes to be broadcast on a deferred basis.

Without wasting time, here are the solutions to enjoy all the races of the Formula 1 world championship, scheduled from March 28 in Bahrain, which will end on December 12 in Abu Dhabi.

How to see Formula 1 for free

To see Formula 1 for free, I will show you 2 different solutions that you can adopt:

1. The most interesting solution, or via the Swiss channel RSI LA 2, with which we will be able to see all the races live and with commentary in Italian, through some tricks.
2. Or the more common method, through TV8, where you will be able to see a limited number of grand prix live and the remainder on a deferred basis.

RSI La2

RSI La2 is one of the Italian channels available in Switzerland (for the canton of Ticino, where they speak Italian) which broadcasts a large amount of sporting events for free, including all Formula 1 races.

This television broadcaster broadcasts live streaming on the internet via its official website Rsi.ch, but unfortunately only for users who physically connect from Switzerland, a problem that can be easily solved. Those who connect from any other country (including Italy) will see a message like the one below.

The little trick to get around this block and still see RSI La2 directly from the official website, it requires the use of a VPN, of which we explain everything in the article just linked (in this regard, here in the next link you will find our guide on the best VPNs).

With a VPN it is possible to overcome territorial limits, making the streaming video of Formula 1 accessible also from Italy from the RSI La2 channel.

The live broadcast will not start because the video is only available in Switzerland; now all you have to do is click on the HolaVPN icon and choose Switzerland as the country.

Alternative a RSI La2

RSI La2 is not the only official streaming channel that broadcasts Formula 1 live, but there are many others, even if they do not have the commentary in Italian. Also for these channels it is necessary to use a VPN, setting the VPN server equal to the country of origin of the channel.

TV8

The second method that I can recommend is the simplest and most banal one to watch Formula 1 for free, using the live streaming of the TV8 channel, available at the following link.

This channel, owned by Sky, allows you to see some races live and others in deferred Formula 1, but also the qualifying on Saturday. Tune in to this site to see the live Formula 1 events broadcast on TV8.

Do you want to review the grand prix already broadcast by the broadcaster? Just open the section Video of the TV8 website and look for Formula 1 in the menu Filter by, so as to retrieve the highlight videos with all the best of the rides already made. Sky Go

If you are a Sky subscriber and already take advantage of the Sport package, you can get the live stream on PC or any other device without having to pay any other euro, it’s all included in your subscription! The Sky Go service allows you to watch sports channels in streaming, so you can follow Formula 1 wherever you are.

To be able to see the live shows you must first activate the service. Then connect to the Sky website, available below.

Click Login at the top right and enter your login credentials. Now that you are in your profile click on the menu Do it yourself, then click Enrich subscription and finally on the option Sky services. Now all you have to do is locate the service Sky Go and press the button You discover to activate it.
