How to send the link of a WhatsApp group – You have recently created a group on WhatsApp and would like to add new participants to the latter. Of course yes: just use a specific link.
If you are the administrator of a WhatsApp group, you can invite other people to join it simply by sharing them a practical link and thus avoiding having to add them “manually”. You can do this from both smartphone and computer (using the WhatsApp client for Windows and macOS or WhatsApp Web).
If, therefore, you wish to find out how to send a link to a WhatsApp group, there is nothing left to do but take a few minutes off just for you and concentrate on reading the information you find below. How to send a group link on WhatsApp: Android
If you are using a device Android and you wish to understand how to send the link of a WhatsApp group, the first thing you need to do is to take your device, unlock it, access the home screen and / or the drawer and open WhatsApp.
Now that you see the main application screen, select the tab Chat which is located at the top, in order to access the section that contains all the chats, then select the conversation related to the group of your interest (if you can’t find it, help yourself by tapping on the symbol of magnifying glass placed at the top and using the search field that appears).
If you have not yet created the group whose link you want to share, you can fix it at the moment by tapping the button with the comics which is located at the bottom right, by choosing the item New group, selecting i participants and pressing the button with the arrow at the bottom right, by typing the Name of the group, setting the eventual photo and touching the button with the check mark. Once the group screen is displayed, tap the i button three dots vertically located at the top right and select the item Group info from the menu that opens, then select the item Invite via link that you find by scrolling down and you can finally view group link at the top of the screen that is proposed to you.
At this point, if you are wondering “How do you get the link of a WhatsApp group?”, I inform you that you can simply copy it to the Android clipboard (by tapping on the item Copy link) and then paste it where you see fit. If you prefer to share the link from the current screen, tap the word Share link and select one of the available sharing options, while to send it directly via WhatsApp just select the option Send link via WhatsApp. You can also generate a QR code of the link by selecting the option QR code.
After succeeding in create the link of a WhatsApp group and after sending it, who will receive it, in order to access your chat, must select the link, wait for the WhatsApp screen to open and choose the option to confirm access to the group. For to reject the invitation, on the other hand, will be sufficient for him to select the appropriate item. Of course, the links copied from Android can also be used on the iPhone and vice versa.
If you have had second thoughts or otherwise feel necessary delete the link to the group and replace it with another one, select the option Reset link and confirm your intentions by choosing the voice Reset link in the screen you see appear. That’s all!
How to send a group link on WhatsApp: iPhone
Let’s now move on to the slope iPhone and let’s find out how do you send the link of a WhatsApp group on Apple smartphones. Of course, the links generated by the iPhone can also be used on Android and vice versa.
The first step you need to take is to take your “iPhone by” unlock it, access the home screen and / or the iOS App Library and start WhatsApp.
Once the main screen of the app is displayed, select the item Chat which is located at the bottom, to access the section containing the chats, then choose the conversation related to the group of your interest (if you can’t find it, you can help with the search field present above).
If you have not yet created the group whose link you want to share, you can do so by tapping on the icon with the paper and the pencil located at the top right, choosing the item New group, selecting i contacts of your interest and by tapping on the item Forward, typing the Name of the group, choosing the eventual photo to use and then touching the wording Create.
Now that you see the group chat screen, select the Name of the same that is at the top, then touches the wording Invite to the group via link that you find below and you will find indicated the group link in the screen proposed later.
At this point, if you want to copy the link to the iOS clipboard, tap the button Copy link, then paste it where you feel most appropriate to be able to share it with other users (more info here).
Alternatively, you can share the group link directly by clicking on the button Share link and then choosing, from the menu that opens, the app to use for sharing. You can also consider generating a QR code for the group link by tapping the button QR code.
Whoever obtains the link of the WhatsApp group, in order to access it, will only have to select the latter, wait for the WhatsApp screen to open and select the option to confirm entry into the group or, if you wish to decline the invitation, the one for reject it.
If you have sent the link of a group on WhatsApp to users but you have changed your mind and you want to avoid that they can use it to access the chat or in any case if you deem it appropriate, you can delete the link to the group and generate a new one by tapping the button Reset link and then on the voice Reset link.
How to send a group link on WhatsApp: computer
WhatsApp can also be used from computer and even in this case it is possible to carry out the operation described in this guide. So, for find the link of a WhatsApp group and share it from your PC, first start WhatsApp on your computer, using theapplication for Windows and macOS or by connecting to the Web version. If you are not logged in yet, scan the QR code displayed on your computer using the WhatsApp app on your smartphone, proceeding as I explained to you in detail in my tutorial on WhatsApp for PC.
Once the WhatsApp window appears on the screen, select the conversation related to the group of your interest from the list on the left (if you can’t find it, help with the search field which is located at the top).
If you haven’t created the group whose link you want to share yet, you can fix it right now by clicking the icon with the comics (on Windows and on WhatsApp Web) or on the one with the paper and the pencil (on macOS) at the top, by selecting the option New group from the menu that opens, indicating i participants and clicking the button with the arrow, typing the Name of the group, choosing the eventual photo to use and clicking on checkmark.
Now that you see the group chat screen, select the button with the i three dots vertically (on Windows and WhatsApp Web) or the one with the down arrow (on macOS) that you find at the top right and choose the option Group info from the menu that opens. Next, select the option Invite to the group via link.
In the new screen that will open at this point, you will find the group link WhatsApp immediately under the name of the latter. To copy it to the clipboard, click on the entry Copy link, then paste it wherever you like to proceed with sharing. Alternatively, you can send the link directly via WhatsApp by selecting the option Send link via WhatsApp.
Whoever receives the group link, in order to access it, must select it, wait for the WhatsApp screen to open and choose the option to confirm access or, in case you want to decline the invitation, the one to refuse it.
Should you deem it necessary, you can also decide to delete the link to the group and reset it by selecting the option Reset link and then clicking the button Reset link present in the window that opens.
